Daily Finds

This blog requires a song for the background while you are reading, so search your brain for " Our House" by Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young...  It is what was playing in my head all day yesterday.  Found it?
Now press play...
Since Travis and I first started talking about me moving up here, I was excited to be able to go the farmers markets for our fruits and veggies.  I imagined picking up a fresh flower bouquet for the table and carrying my groceries in a canvas tote.  Walking hand in hand being inspired to create a great dinner.  Then going home, cooking together and playing house!

I'm lovin' it!

Fresh flower bouquet: $5
Peonies, day lilies, daisies

Asparagus $3, lettuce $1, 2 pints strawberries: $5

Close up of the sweetest strawberries I have ever eaten!

Fresh bread:$5

Maybe not very cost effective, but still very much worth every penny!  There is such a huge difference in market veggies compared to grocery store veggies.

Now all I need is a cute little tote to carry my goods in!
That will be my next project!

For dinner we ended up making the best sandwiches ever!  Thick sliced bread, black forest ham, turkey, red bell pepper and provolone.
YUM!

Then, this morning I woke up early to make thick sliced french toast with fresh strawberry topping!  Only bad thing was when we realized we had no syrup!

As for today, Travis has asked me on a date!  Mariners baseball game!  I will be ready to go by 5pm with camera in tow!

Stay tuned!
